Safe-T-Plus is a self contained, double acting hydraulic cylinder designed to absorb the full impact of a front tire blowout. Safe-T-Plus maintains straight ahead steering and controls rapid and unnecessary or unexpected steering movements resulting from external forces such as blowouts, potholes, side winds, dropping off pavement into a soft shoulder material, road ruts, curbing, etc.
Safe-T-Plus systems have proven in actual highway use, their ability to eliminate sudden directional changes from externally caused emergency situations such as blowouts or extremely potted roads. In the event of an emergency, steering wheel control remains where it belongs, with the driver.
Safe-T-Plus provides positive center point tracking thereby reducing or totally eliminating wander, rut tracking, wind drift, wheel picking, steering wheel shock, and direction changing on potted or rough roads. A more alert driver is a safer driver.
Safe-T-Plus reduces wear and tear on the entire steering system. Front tires run longer and cooler. Less down time and lower maintenance costs.

If you truly want effective vehicle safety...
Many different types of trucks use these attachments and encounter problems associated with excessive tire wear caused by tire scrubbing. Shimmy becomes a problem and vibration associated with shimmy. When the wheels on the axle fail to follow the direction of the truck, the tires scrub the road surface & wear out faster. On rear booster axles such as those used on ready-mix concrete trucks, when the axle is first lowered the wheels may not be in line with the direction of travel. Tire scrubbing occurs and the axle violently aligns itself. The Safe T Plus will automatically bring the wheels to center without scrubbing. In the event of a blowout on the steering axle or the booster axle equipped with the Safe T Plus, the driver has full control of the steering.
For full size cars and 4 wheel drive vehicles all of the dangerous maneuvers required on the road and off the road are made safer with the Safe T Plus installed.
When traveling on ice and snow the front wheels return to center when the steering wheel is released keeping the driver aware of how they are angled. When the angle snow plow trips and the snow load passes under the truck the front wheels stay where the driver holds them. When the truck again contacts the pavement the driver is still in control. As long as one front wheel has traction, the driver can recover and continue to control the vehicle.
Lays down a straighter stripe line by reducing wandering 90% and shimmy by 100%. The driver controls the vehicle in heavily loaded conditions even when a blow out occurs. It reduces the swerve effect on steering when side winds are gusty or from overtaking or passing vehicles.
Travel on-highway to and between emergency jobs at 20 mph faster than the same vehicles not equipped with the Safe T Plus. Climbs over ties and rails easier and gives the driver more control of the vehicle in emergency conditions. Absorbs shock loads to the steering from hitting objects in the road, pot holes, etc. Reduces travel time to the emergency site!
Eliminates shimmy caused by crossing railroad tracks, a rut in the road or a bump. Improves emergency response time by reducing or eliminating vehicle handling weaknesses. In Hook & Ladder operations, both drivers are more confident because of how the Safe T Plus controls the vehicle, both front and rear. The risks of over steering are reduced because the Safe T Plus helps the driver return the front wheels to straight ahead.
Any special equipment added to a vehicle tends to unbalance (creates a higher center of gravity) and make the vehicle more difficult to handle and steer. The Safe T Plus returns more control to the driver eliminates the "mushy" feel to the steering wheel and gives a good feel of the road. On-highway travel becomes safer with fewer handling distractions to affect driver decisions.
Less steering surges from gusting side winds and overtaking vehicles. Safer travel on rain and snow and ice covered roads because the wheels maintain straight ahead travel easier. "Set back front axle" trucks especially benefit from increased front tire mileage and a better "feel of the road".
The liquid load shifting will not translate into steering problems. The driver more easily controls the vehicle.
