Above Ground Bulk Diesel Fuel Storage Tanks
Can’t fuel snow plows and salt spreaders in cold weather because the above ground Diesel Fuel Storage Tank gels up and blocks the filter? Install our Universal Bulk Tank Filter Preheater on the tank filter and begin fueling within a few minutes. It fits 3-1/2 inches to 4 inch diameter filters that are 7 inches and taller. The 120v Universal Bulk Tank Filter Preheater measures 7 inches X 9 inches (held in place with 3 nylon ties and stainless springs) and is equipped with a thermostat holding the temperature between 110 degrees F and 150 degrees F.
This fuel gelling problem also impacts bulk fuel storage tanks. Dispensing pumps can also be affected. Install one or more of our preheaters as close to the exit pipe as possible so that the hottest fuel is the first to exit the tank, helping to prevent blockage.
