The Universal Preheater™ is the cold weather Preheater of choice. The Universal Preheater™ converts the metal of a housing into a heat transfer element that exposes a large square inch surface of fluid to low watt heat. This design eliminates any chance of burning the fluid supply and still allows rapid heating of the fluid supply.

The Universal Preheater™ draws 1/3 to 2/3 less electrical power than comparable block heaters to warm the same amount of engine oil. This reduces daily operating electricity expense dramatically.

The Universal Preheater™ mounts on the outside of the oil pan. There are no coils to clog from cooling system by-products. The installation doesn't breach the system, and therefore doesn't introduce a new leak opportunity; No contaminants to impair performance.

Heat rises from the oil at the lowest point in the engine (where the Universal Preheater™ is installed) to warm important internal moving parts and the cushions of oil between them.

Cold Weather Vehicle And Equipment Operations

On starting, the Universal Preheater™ helps the oil pump provide instant oil pressure to all the important internal parts. Oil does not by-pass the filter because the oil is warmed and easy to pump.

The Universal Preheater™ reduces the cold start load on the electrical system and this extends the life of the starter.

When used from shut-down at the end of day, the Universal Preheater™ drives moisture out of the oil which reduces the formation of acid (water and by-products of combustion) and the resulting bearing etching.
